FAMILY NEWS

Family News is where we share the life moments that shape us: the births, weddings, achievements, and milestones.

This section serves as our family bulletin, a living diary that celebrates our joys, honours our transitions, and keeps us connected across villages, cities, and continents.

What Counts as Family News?

We welcome brief, factual announcements that help the Ohiaeri family stay informed.

Examples include:

  • Births and naming ceremonies
  • Weddings and traditional marriages
  • Academic milestones (e.g., graduations, scholarships, degrees)
  • Career achievements (e.g., promotions, appointments, awards)
  • Family meetings and events
  • New businesses or creative projects by family members
  • Relocation announcements (e.g., moving abroad or returning home)
  • Bereavements and funeral notices (handled with dignity and care)

What Doesn’t Belong in Family News?

To preserve clarity, privacy, and respect, the following do not qualify for the Family News section:

  • Unverified rumors or gossip
  • Political statements or opinions
  • Personal conflicts or grievances
  • Forwarded content from outside the family
  • Commercial advertising not related to a family member’s work

How to Share Your News

To submit news, send a short note (1–3 paragraphs) to editor@ohiaerifamily.org

Be sure to include:

  • Full name(s) of those involved
  • Date and nature of the event
  • Location (if relevant)
  • A high-quality photo (optional but encouraged)

Each entry, no matter how small, contributes to the evolving story of Umu Ohiaeri.
